Location
At Anchor - Mersey
Age
18 Years

4th March 1942

We moved from Eastham docks at about 11 o’clock this morning. Since then we have laid at anchor in the Mersey, as visibility has been too poor for compass adjusting.

I  managed to do 2 ½ hours of Building Maths. Before lunch, 2 ¾ hours of Arch. Build. Constr. This afternoon, and about 1 ¾ hours drawing this evening, so I don’t feel that the time has been wasted.

Latest news says that we may not sail tomorrow even, as a slow convoy has just gone out and they want it to get clear.

The Commodore is now on board, plus about 6 naval ratings. This is the Commodore’s first trip in that capacity.
