Went into Antwerp this afternoon and saw “In society” (Abbott and Costello); bought two picture frames for Iris’ photos.

In the evening went to cafe and sketched interior. Pete, Hugh, Ron, fourth and sixth and I spent whole evening here. Listened to a radio and gramophone. Danced quite a bit – José is teaching me!

On the way back, I stepped , 3‘6“ down into a Dyke (blackout). The water in the bottom covered my shoes.
