When receiving press last night I received the very heartening news that the eighth army in Egypt had made a grand advance and put the enemy in full retreat!

We have a portable lifeboat transmitter now, which used to belong to the ship which was sunk a few days back. We gave a demonstration on Saturday so that anyone could operate it. Of course actually there’s nothing to do!
