4th November 1943
Rather surprisingly the sun has shone from a clear blue sky all day & has been hot with it. We are steering a S. Westerly course until the Casablanca crowd join up, & then we go N.W. When we brought our paravanes in this morning, we found we had collected a whole full of Spanish fisherman’s lines, & hooks. They were big hooks too, for during the night the convoy ran amock with Spanish trawlers, appearing everywhere! However, we got clear.
