The old man is excited because we shall go to Swansea if we finish by Tuesday night; the second mate is excited because the education authorities have allowed his school teacher wife to stay the weekend. I spent best part of the morning fitting contexts on the crew’s gas masks. Jock and I went ashore tonight to see “the Lone Wolf Strikes” and  “Green Cockatoo”. I didn’t want to go but Jock had no one else to go with so……….
