6th August 1941

Still the bad weather has continued – at least until 7 o’clock this morning, when we found ourselves in the Belfast Trough! We have remained here all day so far, “avec” the Bristol Channel section of the convoy, having our D.G’s tested. We are supposed to leave at 3am for Barry Roads.

How gloriously fresh the fields and everything looked, after seeing nothing.
