Another beautiful day. Arrived at Anchorage of Lee on Solent at 08:00 hours. Message on shore said we were to proceed to Avonmouth at 09 30 from Saint Helens Road!! Are now in convoy for Avonmouth!

The pilot said a transport was sunk a day or two ago just outside Nab tower (Southampton). Only one life was lost.
