9th February 1945

We left on time and joined a convoy at about 0700 hours.

The weather is fine at present, though we are rolling heavily.

It poured with rain all this evening and was generally miserable. Owing to engine trouble, we were several miles behind the convoy before dusk but eventually caught up.
